Re-Timer & USB-C Switches Feature 10 Gbps Data Rates

Analogix Semiconductor's new ANX7440/30 integrated single chip re-timer and USB-C switches feature 10 Gbps data rates and 8K x 4K video output, suiting them for VR and AR applications.

The ANX7440 integrated re-timer and USB-C switch is capable of switching DisplayPort (version 1.3 and 1.4 at 8.1 Gbps) over USB-C ports. Features include 6x4 10 Gbps mux and SBU/AUX mux for USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode applications, and up to 20 dB channel loss. The ANX7430 integrated re-timer and USB-C switch is capable of switching USB 3.1 Gen2 10 Gbps signals to support a single USB-C port, with loss compensation recovering up to 23 dB channel loss.

The family of devices is intended to simplify PCB routing for 10 Gbps notebook, desktop PC and USB 3.1 enabled mobile device docking station designs. The ANX7440/30 single chip re-timer and USB-C switches will sample in Q4 2016 and ship in mass production in Q2 2017.
