Analogix Receives VESA® Certification Logo for DisplayPort TCON Receivers Supporting Notebook PC and Direct Drive Monitors(DDM) Solutions

Analogix ANX9850 DisplayPort receiver with integrated panel timing controller (TCON)
passes all PHY and LINK testing requirements at Allion Test Center to receive VESA DisplayPort Certified Logo

INTEL DEVELOPERS FORUM CONFERENCE–San Francisco,CA–August 18, 2008 – Analogix Semiconductor Inc. a world leader in high performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors and IP solutions, today received DisplayPort certification logo from VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) for the Analogix ANX9850 DisplayPort TCON Receiver.  The ANX9850 device passed an extensive qualification testing program by VESA-authorized independent testing lab Allion in Taiwan gaining logo certified product status.

Analogix DisplayPort TCON receiver, the ANX9850 offers robust support for the next-generation display interconnect standard for Notebooks PC and LCD Monitor panels. The ANX9850 features an integrated LCD timing controller (TCON) that supports the VESA DisplayPort Standard version 1.1a is targeted to replace VGA, DVI and LVDS interface applications.

As a compliant DisplayPort receiver, the ANX9850 features ultra-low power one or two lane input and can support a total data throughput of 5.4Gbps. The ANX9850 supports 6/8-bpc mini-LVDS or 6-bpc RSDS driver with built-in Spread Spectrum Clock (SSC) generator.  Packages will be available with either 64pin one-lane or 100pin dual-lane TQFP.

“The low-power, low-cost and high performance capability of our ANX9850-TCON DisplayPort receiver  implemented into Notebook PC or with LCD monitors manufacturers will be a huge success for designers looking to reduce the overall product cost with fewer complex components required typically in their current bill of materials.    Additionally the new Analogix TCON family of products for direct drive monitor can handle both frame-rate and analog-to-digital conversion which streamlines the implementation process and further reduces the component count that are required currently within existing Notebook computers or LCD monitors” said Bryan Greear, VP of Marketing at Analogix.

Analogix will participate in the Intel Developers Forum (IDF), DisplayPort Technology Community pavilion (booth #121) showing a demo of the ANX9850-TCON solution.
