Analogix Will Attend “Innovative Zhongguancun 2009 Themed Event”

Analogix will be showing its newest products,including the innovative zero-power ANX 7150 HDMI Transmitter,and the low-power,low cost,small form factor ANX9832 DisplayPort to VGA Converter.

Beijing, China., Dec 04, 2009–Analogix Semiconductor, Inc., a manufacturer and innovator of high-performance analog and mixed signal devices for the digital media and communications markets, will attend “Innovative Zhongguancun 2009 Themed Event” on December 4th to 6th , hosted by Beijing Haidian District Government, organized by Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Haidian Park Management Committee. “Innovative Zhongguancun 2009 Themed Event” includes two activities, Zhongguancun Innovation Exhibition and Originality Awards. This themed event is a major event series organized by Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Haidian Park in honor of the beginning establishment of Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstrative District’s Core District. Innovation and originality are the major themes of “Innovative Zhongguancun 2009 Themed Event”. Analogix’s ANX7150 HDMI transmitter is compatible with the HDMI 1.3 Specification, and is backward compatible with DVI 1.1. It also supports HDCP 1.1 function with internal keys. ANX7150 has passed HDMI and HDCP testing, and ADTC-EasyHD Laboratory’s Interoperability test. Using Analogix ground breaking and patented technology the ANX7150 powers its HDMI transmitter by recovering power from the HDMI link that is normally wasted. Existing HDMI transmitters are forced to drain batteries due to the physical nature of the HMDI link. As other electronics within mobile devices shrink to lower silicon geometries, adding more features and lowering their power consumption, the contribution of a HDMI transmitter becomes an increasingly more significant percentage of battery drain. This limits the ability of system designers to use smaller, lighter batteries and also reduces overall playback time. By incorporating the ANX7150 into a portable device, manufacturers have the ability to deliver stunning HD performance without sacrificing battery life. The ANX7150 target applications include MP4 players, multimedia mobile phones, digital cameras, digital camcorders and other portable electronic devices.

ANX9832 is the world’s first single chip solution that enables a low-power, low cost, small form factor DisplayPort to VGA Converter. Unlike other solutions the ANX9832 does not require additional microcontrollers or memory to function, offering a significant reduction in the bill of materials and making it ideal for low cost dongles. It’s fully compliant with DisplayPort 1.1a specification, works with both single and dual mode DisplayPort transmitter products, and converts the signal to a VGA compatible signal that can connect to a vast array of existing equipment. ANX9832 has integrated Analogix’s advanced WideEyeTM SerDes technology, which allows for data reception over long and/or low quality cables, and provides added performance margin to assure the system can maintain broad interoperability in any environment. ANX9832’s typical operation power is less than 400mW. With its advanced feature set, high integration and low power, the ANX9832 is ideally suited for low cost DisplayPort to VGA dongles and enables Desktop PCs and notebooks equipped with DisplayPort to connect to VGA displays and projectors.
