DisplayPort is an interface used to connect a video source to a display, a computer monitor, for example to transmit audio, USB and other data. The technology transmits audio and video simultaneously but both can be transmitted independently. It is backwardcompatible with VGA and DVI standards and has been designed to complement HDMI. At the EuroAsia conference, DisplayPort product manufacturer, Analogix Semiconductor, revealed it has entered the market, with its SlimPort accessories that use a microUSB adapter.
